Sth to eat :)

Ola a todos!

We're finally after our first tests : Econometrics, Organizations Theory & Business Policy and International Economics. We're also officialy out of Applied Quantative Methods, so like on SGGW, we have free fridays :) Still I would like to add that AQM are not so complicated (at least at the beginning) and the professor was almost like my maths teacher from high school :)))))))))))
About the tests at Catolica: sucks. Erasmus? Sorry, I need to study to pass and to not give back my schoolarship. We're obligated to write the same tests as students here, even if they have portuguese version, portuguese books and materials to prepare. All of my friends are claiming that it's unfair. I also should have a chance to have an explanation of some things in polish if they can speak portuguese during the lecturers and workshops. Personally I feel sometimes discriminated. We have lecturers with students from Porto and I didn't expect that...I thought that I'll be around erasmus people. During the tests, professors are speaking english in 10%.....nice. What is more the level of econometrics test was high. We've studied very hard and still could not understand what are the tasks about. It was like reading it and thinking: what?! + big eyes.
The test from OT&BP was about choosing the most appropriate answer and explaining why. Sometimes it was to explain why orange is orange....so i was a little bit confused where am I. (the whole subject is about management, so it's like talking about the same thing through 200 pages)
The third test was from International Economics (finally i understood micro - & macroeconomics). The best of these 3. It was a multiple choice but there were some minus for a bad answer. The funniest thing was that the professor was checking our calculators ... looking for some cribs. He checked all students! He even looked at my calculator under the best light to see if I didn't write anything by a pencil.
I was also curious if students here are cheating. They are :)
So now we can breathe at least today - we have a day off cause during the week with tests we don't have a half of classes :))))) Still from this week, every 2 weeks, we have some tests till the end of June + final exams in June. SUCKS.

Yesterday to celebrate our first tests we went out for Portuguese Night organized by ESN. We came after hour from the beginning and there was nothing left to eat or drink. There were a lot of people standing and just chatting but nothing like wow to encourage you to stay. I felt like it was a polish night..above 60 % of people were polish :) We were a little bit dissapointed so we evacuate quickly and went to some restaurant to eat sth portuguese to have portuguese night. Girls choosed francesinha, bacalhau and I dessert :) Of course we had to drink wine.... Porto wine of course :)

Me & Agnes were trying to figure some nice meals here with the local cheapest components. We're having some plans for the weekend about this aspect - for sure you'll be informed :)
Here's some mixed salads with tuna (atum) + feijões + milho + ovos + cebola + maionese + arroz + everything else what matches. The main component is usually atum em oleo.

for this small salsa i paid 0,90 euro!

I'm going at the ocean soon so have a nice day!
Xoxo
