Easter in Poland
Hello :) How are you during Easter time ? :) I hope everybody are healthy, not like me - coughing and sneezing all the time. Today I am gonna write you about Polish Easter - so this post is mainly dedicated to our visitors from abroad. Easter in Poland basically starts a week before 'Easter Sunday' and it's called 'Palm Sunday' probably like in your country because it's implicated with catolic belief. In Poland our climat doesn't allows for growing a palm trees so our palms are quite different to it's orgin but we do our best! photo below. Those are based mainly on pieces of grass and some wheat some times also flowers and herbs. On Thursday and Friday, those who are Catholics go to church, where Friday is especially important and is strictly postallows during all the day. On Saturday most of us go to the church with baskets to consecrate food ( eggs, bread, sold and pepper, some cookies and sausage. It's coomon to see a lot of children during this consecrations. On Sunday early morning there is a special mass called 'rezurekcja' it's at 6 o clock. After this, most of people celebrate rest of the day with family eating delicious food and enojying each other companies. Because Easter in Poland are in spring part of the year ( well this year we have temperature under zero and snow but it's not normal) through our food there is a lot of green vegetables. Also in Poland there is a tradition to paint eggs (photo below). Finally on Monday we have a special tradition of pouring water. It about making our friends, brothesr or sisters, cousins, neighbours, parents and some times even completly stranger people wet. It is said that a girl who was poured on water by boys is the most atracitive one. Is it our Easter looks like this in your country? :) Kisses form snowy Poland AGA

See you soon!
Hey :)
It's time to say goodbye to Porto. We're coming back to Poland for Easter. We wanted to get enough energy & sun & spring to survive this week in Poland. This year the holidays will be extremely different : snow + temperature below 0. I think i'll appreciate Portugal in April...even if there's a strong wind and you think it's cold it's always better to be here than in cold, freezing Warsaw ;p.
Here are some photos for you from today, feel our spring! All in all it's 22 of March, spring is in the air !

Hello followers - is your one and only Aga :) Sorry for not blogging for couples days but we very busy due to test on our university and NEW STRIKE problem. So - as you might read in previous post we had problems with our flight, which was rescheduled due to strike of TAP employees. They rebuked our tickets for Lufthansa's and then it's turned they also have a strike! But fortunately TAP's has stoped and we will come back on Saturday to Poland. Another news we would like to share with you is that in begging of MAY we are flying to Madeira!!!! yesss - dreams come true. One of the biggest advantage of erasmus is possibility to travel and here in Porto are quite cheap tickets to Madeira, Madryt, Barcelona so we just followed airplanes firms for couples of days and find a really cheap tickets!! Apart from tickets&airplanes problem, out the biggest curent worry is how to switched our brains for Polish teperature conditions... Hmmm to compare photos below

troubles, again.
I hope that
none of you would have such a problems like we now. The amount of bad
luck for the two of us has been already used…..we stilltrying to think positive
about our staying here, having a hope
that it will be “before Easter” & “after”. The “after” time must be definitely
unforgettable!
We got some
information about the strike by Tap airlines. With the probability of 100% that
it’ll be on our flight day, we had to change the date and also the airlines. I
was so desperate that I wanted to go on foot to Warsaw. At the airport we found
a flight through Frankfurt offered by Lufthansa. During our stay here, it’ll be
third time at Frankfurt airport ! I’m starting to love Lufthansa cause they are
always reliable airlines.
Another advice for our readers : choose
Lufthansa if you can, and ever Ryanair, never Tap Portugal!
I was also disappointed with my travel agency
: tripsta.pl, cause they didn’t inform me about the strike, I had to deal with
that on my own.
Second advice: never count on travel agency!
Yesterday i was in Planetarium do Porto, we had a chance to observe Jupiter and stars. We could sit at very comfortable armchairs, see the sky with the deepest darkness around.
We have also amazing weather. Sun & clear sky.
Have a nice weekend!

Celebration of 8th of March
To celebrate our day girls, we decided to refresh our blog (hope you like it) and refresh our life - this is why we switched rooms. Now Agnes has a smaller one (very cosy), I got the bigger with double bed ! Finally I have enough place for my legs :)
These day the weather is unpredictable, so usually we're deciding what to do after looking outside. Today I went for a walk along the ocean. Of course I have some photos for you :) Now it's raining and the wind is really strong (Wind: S, 8 mps), our curtains are moving all the time even if the blinds are closed.
First I'd like to present you our lunch:

First I'd like to present you our lunch:
meat here's really expensive this is why we're not eating it very often, we're like vegetarian here : carrots, tomatoes, leek, yams, bananas, oranges....
pingo doce's products :)
mexican chicken :)))
lunch with wine :)
I know - it's beautiful :) the air is even more increadible!
szlachta się wozi, a podobno bezrobocie i strajki....
all houses here have these blinds outside, we also have them in our app so when we're closing them we can sleep all day & all night :))))))
strange monument or sth like that, there are some stories about that thing but as many as people here :)
sky surfers !
men on the horse...3rd in Porto which I've seen, what is it about ?!
I found home of my dreams. Unfortunately at the ocean and straight on the street. It needs a general renovation -> meaning a lot of money, but still the most beautiful I've ever seen! Love at first sight ! <3
At the backyard I noticed a small house, probably for staff, but these days it'd be for all of my guests in Porto!
Bom fim-de-semana!
Xoxo,
